Welcome to Heather Morris School of Dance

The Heather Morris School of Celtic Dance is located in beautiful Vermont, the Green Mountain State in the New England region of the United States. Heather has been a part of cultivating the Celtic roots in Vermont since 1977 when area families came together to revive the Scottish music and dance scene.

The focus of Heather's School of Dance is to continue to promote this vibrant culture through both the traditional and contemporary forms of Celtic dance. Heather's personal mission is to vision environments where people can learn together so that they express true nature. This combination has led to many success stories within the school, from students completing grade school with an elevated sense of self to students receiving Scottish Arts scholarships to attend university.

The School offers instruction to all ages and levels, from Age 4 on up through Adults, in several forms of dance, including:

Scottish Highland
National and Character Dances
Irish Step Dance
Celtic Step Dance

Choreographed pieces for groups and solos are taught in all forms to add a more performance-oriented element. While the history of the dances is always incorporated into the instruction, during vacation months the repertoire also includes Celtic legends, crafts, music, and food to fill out the exposure to this rich cultural heritage.
